Saturday of week 3 was a little rough. The Master Key course is about developing new thoughts, feelings, habits, and outcomes. The accuser in my head ran rampant when I awoke that morning, hell-bent on making sure I was well aware of the futility of my endeavors. The discourse was well-prepared. I’ve heard that voice so many times over the years — so much so in my 40’s I would have done anything to make it shut up.
It did shut up — eventually — but left behind an uneasy realization. It’s one thing to be having loud, obvious thoughts, but what about the ones that whisper? They are most dangerous! Quiet and subtle — day by day building the dominant mental attitude that determines our experiences in life.
Haanel writes “… We think something, perhaps with difficulty the first time: we think the same thing again, and it becomes easier this time; we think it again and again; it then becomes a mental habit. We continue to think the same thing; finally it becomes automatic; we can no longer help thinking this thing; we are now positive of what we think; there is no longer any doubt about it. We are sure; we know.”
Whether for good outcomes or bad, Haanel is right. Thankfully, I now have the tools in hand to direct my thoughts, thanks to the Master Key Experience. I use them each day as directed. Bit by bit, they will do their work and I will move in the direction I wish to go.
The accuser and his sneaky minions have been served their eviction notice.
Thanks for your transparency. I know I hear that voice, all too often. I no longer give it credence, but your blog has shown me I must deliver an eviction notice. It is done! You have inspired and empowered. Thank you!!!
Aw shucks, Louise — thanks, and you’re welcome!
Thank you, Randy! I totally identify with your thoughts in this post… I have a persistent parrot on my shoulder whispering in my ear! And it’s an effort to shut him up! Working with MKE has made it easier to break through the chatter.
I’m sure glad I’m not alone! 😉
The inner dialogue, yep! I caught my self this week and grateful that I am more aware of the negative dialogue and changed thoughts. Thank Randy!
Great inner dialogue Randy
I can identify with your thoughts and feelings . We are truly connected through the universal mind
