For all of December, one of my daily readings was a reminder of persistence.
I have to be honest and admit that I have a tendency to be impatient. I want results sooner rather than later. What’s worse, if I don’t succeed within my timeframe I may be tempted to abandon an effort altogether.
Og writes, “It’s not given to me to know how many steps are necessary to reach my goal. Always I take another step.”
So, I awaken each day to take that next step. Swing my blade against the mighty oak. Build my castle one brick at a time.
And most important of all, give no ear to self-defeating temptations.
Randy, good for you for giving no ear to self-defeating temptations. From your blog rover friend John.
