Light & Shadow #31

Plant First, Harvest Later — Near Lewiston, ID Circa 1978

Here we go again, another agriculture picture.

What can I say — I lived and worked in areas where agriculture drove the economy. Plus I like to eat therefore I appreciate farmers.

For whatever reason, I forayed outside my usual stomping grounds around Moscow and found this rancher out in the Palouse south of Lewiston. He was loading a seed drill to plant for the upcoming year. I liked the angles created by the truck bed, auger, and seed drill.

I’m not coming up with much to write about this one, but that’s okay — we all know pictures are worth a thousand words.

I do wonder if he ever bought a new hat, though.
